A Small Deviation

My interpretation of her design. Click for more detail.

I took 1/2 of a lovely class by the beautiful (and creative!) Ana Sumner (go look at her eye candy… I’ll wait!) at our EGA meeting last month. She did the painting and prepped the fabric for us. Which I think was a lovely thing to do, as prep work is NOT my favorite thing in the world. No hoop or stitching frame needed! (though I yearned for one at times!) And I finished the project in time to send it to my equally beautiful Mother in Law for Mother’s Day. (Love you Page!) I’m not really a ribbon embroidery guru. It’s one of the few techniques that just doesn’t seem to gel with me. But I’m proud of how this one turned out. 🙂

MY Mother would just be glad I actually FINISHED something. (Looks heavenward and says, “see? I DO finish things, Mom!)
