30 Days – Day 18

Day 18 already… Yeah. This “finishing” a painting every day is getting tighter. And with the weekend of the 4th, I didn’t come into the studio and catch up! Oops. I’ve got some painting to do…

I’m in the process of developing a new class/kit offering for 2015. I’m hoping to have it up for sale by the end of October, so it can be sent as gifts to stitchers you know! 🙂 The gist of it is the following:

6 kits, one every other month over the course of the year for people who want to expand their dilettante stitching skills. Each kit will focus on a different technique. From freestyle/crewel, to goldwork to blackwork. The techniques are all different, but the kits hang together, and if you make them all, you’ll have a new set of stitching tools – pinkeep, thimble case, needlebook, scissor fob, scissor sheath, and bag to keep all of them in! I’m even planning on including finishing instructions and supplies… There will be a discount if you buy them as a subscription – and you’ll get them earlier. I won’t release them individually until 2016.

The first theme coming out of my head is “circus”. Not sure why, but I’m doodling elephants, and tightrope walkers, and trapeze artists, and circus tents. Old fashioned florals are also in my brain. It’s possible that I might release two sets – one of each. The stitches will be the same…
