Chevron stitch is absolutely great for borders. But it can be used for many many other things as well. As you can see from my image, you can even use it to create full pictures! It’s one of what I classify as the “straight stitches.”
Explore. Enjoy. Chevron stitch is an easy stitch. It’s easy to use to create very different effects depending on how tall you make your chevrons, how wide, how thick your threads are. Use it as a simple border, or embellish it with other stitches (or combine versions to make it more interesting). Play with it.
And mostly, enjoy. This is as stitch to be savored.
